Be the first to hear the sound of the 2022 Ford Raptor engine and help us predict what kind of engine it is, a V8 or V6? Or will it become a hybrid high-performance pickup?
After we showed you yesterday a video revealing mysterious tests carried out by the 2022 Ford Ranger Raptor pickup on American roads, today we will show you an interesting round of tests carried out by its sibling, the all-new 2022 F-150 Raptor which is expected to be revealed in the beginning of next year, God willing.
And now we will show you a video starring a prototype of a new American pickup hidden under camouflage, and we are almost sure, even confident, that this vehicle is the high-performance Raptor version of the all-new generation Ford F-150.
Turn the sound up and help us decide what engine is used in this all-new 2022 Ford Raptor prototype:
The sound we hear while the new Raptor was idling at the traffic light, reminds us of the sound of the engine of its sister, the Ford GT sports car, which is powered by a twin-turbo 3.5-liter V-shaped 6-cylinder EcoBoost generating 647 (656 PS) and 745 Nm of torque!
However, there are also two other options expected to power this vehicle:
- A hybrid system that combines a Twin Turbo V6 EcoBoost engine that generates 400 hp, a 100 hp electric motor, and a 13.6 kWh battery, to produce 595 hp and 854 Nm of total power.
- A supercharged 5.2-liter V8 engine borrowed from Ford Mustang Shelby GT500, which our colleague Suhaib Shashaa had previously test0driven in an episode of Special Coverage program.
As soon as our team at ArabGT has confirmed official information about the specifications of the upcoming, all-new, high-performance 2022 Ford Raptor we will provide you with it immediately, God willing.
