Is There A Hidden Connection Between EQC 4×4² And G500 4×4²

Today, we will introduce  to the fully electric concept car, Mercedes EQC 4×4², which is based on the advanced crossover Mercedes EQC, and as ArabGT followers may remember, we previously test-drove Mercedes EQC in an episode of Special Coverage program presented to you by our editor-in-chief Suhaib Shashaa.

Before talking about the newest concept car offered by the German company Mercedes-Benz, we note that the new vehicle’s name includes the numbers 4×4², which reminds us of the special edition G Class, which bears the name Mercedes G500 4×4², and which has already undergone a number of test-drives with our team. That’s how we know that the electric concept car that we will introduce today is specially designed for off-roading despite its electrical core!

We would like to point out and remind you again that electric cars are the inevitable future, as most car companies are rushing to convert their production fleets to include Hybrid cars, Plug-in hybrids, and electric cars. Perhaps you will change your opinion of this category of cars after learning about the incredible performance that Karim Deeb felt when he recently test-drove the 2021 Porsche Taycan Turbo!

Pictures of the new Mercedes EQC 4×4² concept:

Based on the current production 2021 EQC, this concept sits 20 cm taller overall, allowing the vehicle to wade through 40 cm of water. The car was also equipped with a modified suspension system to suit off-roading, and the car got 285/50 R20 tires.

Mechanically, the new Mercedes EQC 4×4² concept has two electric motors producing a total power of 408 horsepower and 762 Newton meters of torque, powered by a 80 kWh lithium-ion battery pack. As for the range of Mercedes’ new electric SUV concept, it should be around or less than the range of the base model EQC, which is 350 km per charge.
