The 2021 BMW iX3 Is A New Electric-Powered SUV

Finally, after a long wait, the all-new 2021 BMW iX3 was officially unveiled, the new electric all-wheel drive SUV made by the Bavarian manufacturer.

This new production electric vehicle is based on the current BMW X3 model, as it was supplied with the fifth generation of the eDrive electric system, and it comes from the outside with a closed front grille that does not contain any vents as it is a car that works on electric energy and is not equipped with an oil engine that needs to be cooled. The closed grille carries the BMW design identity known as “kidney grills.” And the vehicle has 19-inch alloy wheels with great aerodynamic efficiency and a drag coefficient of 5%, which adds 10 km to the range of the vehicle.

Individualization options include a choice of five interior trim strips, three of which feature fine wood. The standard seats are offered in two trim colors, the optional sport seats in four shades. The exterior of the new BMW iX3 can be ordered exclusively with metallic paint finishes. Customers can choose from Carbon Black metallic, Sophisto Grey brilliant effect metallic, Mineral White metallic, Phytonic Blue metallic, Piedmont Red metallic and Cashmere Silver metallic

2021 BMW iX3 Specifications:

Positioned flat in the vehicle floor of the new BMW iX3, the battery has a gross energy content of 80 kWh, powering a single electric motor that produces 282 hp and 400 Newton meters of torque and sends power to the front axle. The new BMW iX3 sprints from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 6.8 seconds, putting it in the same territory as the conventionally powered BMW X3 xDrive30i. The top speed is electronically limited to 180 km/h.

The new BMW iX3 posts a range of up to460 kilometers (285 miles) in the WLTP test cycle. This equates a range of up to 520 kilometers (323 miles) when translated back into values for the old NEDC test cycle.
