Today we will present to you a new YouTube video that shows the crazy performance of BMW M2 CS, which made it faster than the Porsche 996 GT3 RS and also faster than the first-generation Audi R8 V10.
In the beginning, we would like to remind you that the BMW M2 CS is the most powerful production version of the BMW M2 Competition, and it was officially launched at Los Angeles Auto Show in November of 2019.
Sport Auto team recently went to the famous German circuit, Nürburgring Nordschleife, the best place for record-setting, and they took with them the most powerful BMW M2 production car in the world, in order to record the time it would take for the 2020 M2 CS to finish the track.

The BMW M2CS managed to finish the track in a time of 7.42.99 minutes, driven by journalist Christian Gebhardt.
When we compare the number recorded by the most powerful M2 production version with other cars, we notice that it is faster than:
- Porsche 996 GT3 RS, that took 7:43:00 minutes to finish the same track.
- Aston Martin Vantage, that took 7: 43.92 minutes to finish the Nürburgring.
- The Audi R8 V10, in its first generation, finished the famous track in 7: 44.00 minutes.
- The Mercedes CLK 63 Black Series finished the track in 7:45.00.
On the other hand, here is a list of cars faster than the M2 CS is as follows:
Audi RS Q8 that finished the track in 7: 42.25 minutes.
Porsche Cayman GT4 that finished the track in 7: 42.00.
Camaro ZL1 needed 7: 41.27 to finish the track.
This high-performance Bavarian car is powered by a twin-turbo 3.0-liter 6-cylinder engine generating 444 hp (450 PS) and 550 Nm of torque, connected to a manual gearbox, or you can get the optional 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox to accelerate from 0 to 96 km/h (60 mph) in 3.8 seconds (with the automatic transmission) and a reach top speed of 280 km/h.
